Breaking News of the Day: Armstrong To Lose Tour de France Titles: So it’s come to this: Lance Armstrong has dropped his fight against the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency — saying he’s “finished with this nonsense” — which means he’ll be stripped of his seven Tour de France titles.
He also will lose the bronze medal he won at the 2000 Olympics and all other titles, awards, and money he won from August 1998 forward.
“There comes a point in every man’s life when he has to say, ‘Enough is enough,’” Armstrong said. “For me, that time is now.”
The 40-year-old maintains his innocence, saying the USADA’s case against him was “an unconstitutional witch hunt” and saying its handling of his case was “one-sided and unfair.”
Insane. Just insane.

Forbidden Love of the Day: An outreach initiative started by two Israeli graphic artists aiming to bridge the sociopolitical divide between Israel and Iran by sending out simple messages of love is yielding promising results.
According to Israeli paper of record Ha’aretz, “Israel Loves Iran” began attracting responses from Iranian Facebook users over the weekend, and more are being added every hour.
“My Israeli friends, I do not hate you; I do not want war. love, Peace,” read one such pacific missive from an anonymous Iranian contributor. Many of the Iranians participating in this campaign have chosen not to identify themselves for fear of arrest or other reprisals.
Still, the message is being heard loud and clear — and the campaign’s creators want to ensure it gets louder and clearer.
They’ve turned to the crowd funding site indiegogo for assistance in taking “Israel Loves Iran” to the next level: Print ads, billboards, and an unignorable spot overlooking Times Square.

Wondering if your supermarket’s selling “pink slime”? Wonder no longer — more and more supermarket chains across the country are saying they won’t sell the ammonia-treated meat.
For those of you looking for pink slime (or trying to avoid it), this chart will come in handy.
I hope this doesn’t turn into a “all the pink slime meat will just get dumped onto Markets that service low income areas that have less options anyway” type scenario…
We need to call for a reform of the industry that feeds American dangerous food, this goes more than just asking YOUR supermarket to make the change.
